ch-ART COM which means “Child Art Competition” is an Art competition for children. This is its maiden edition. It is a grass-roots educational, inspirational and also developmental based initiative which is aimed at laying some strong foundations for the development of Contemporary African Arts by empowering children to share their knowledge, experience and ideas on issues affecting them and their environments. Themes will be specially selected around pertinent global issues to increase self-awareness, and also boost the confidence in children while encouraging them to air their views and opinions using visual forms (Drawings, Paintings, Collage, Textiles, Sculptures, Ceramics, AI, etc). The competition is open to children between the ages of 10 and 18 in public and private Secondary Schools, and winners will be going home with various prizes
STRENGTH OF A WOMAN (sisterART International Arts & Cultural Exhibition)
This is an annual art exhibition that started in 2019 to serve as a vehicle in placing sisterART as an organization, the girl child and female Visual Artists properly in the society and also on the world map. It is to further create publicity, visibility, economic empowerment opportunities for Women In Arts, ensure gender equality, as well as bring countries around the world together using the Visual Arts.
COMMUNITY ART ENGAGEMENT
This is an event that is designed to bring together different families in vulnerable and less advantaged communities to engage them in creating different forms of Arts. This form of engagement is aimed at creating a cordial and peacefully co-existence between individuals, families and neighbours in these communities, to encourage and foster hard work and creativity amongst young people, and also to create an atmosphere for fun and relaxation.
