ABOUT sisterART GLOBAL VISUAL ARTS FOUNDATION
sisterART Global Visual Arts Foundation is a nonprofit-making NGO of female Visual Artists from around the world. It is the Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Brotherart Productions, founded in 2018 with the aim of bringing together, celebrating, promoting and projecting women in the visual arts industries. It also serves as a platform for networking, education, as well as providing bountiful opportunities for social, economic and Cultural exchanges amongst Women in Arts.
This organization has provided opportunities for us to pay special attention on these Female Visual Artists, to discuss their challenges, and also proffer possible ways of finding practical, realistic and workable solutions to these challenges, therefore giving them more voices, better representations, local and international exposures, and most importantly, play a critical
role of “being a part of positive societal changes”.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES
To use the Visual Arts in achieving gender equality.
To create empowerment opportunities for women and children through skills acquisition
programs.
To further educate women and the girl child on their roles in home management and also nation building.
To achieve some of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
CORE VALUES
Gender Equality: Giving women and girls in Arts the opportunities they need to stand out and remain major decision makers in the Visual Arts industries around the world.
Education: Providing the required training and professional skills.
Empowerment: Providing opportunities for women to become self-reliant and economically stable.
Visibility: Creating opportunities for local and international exposures in an industry that is majorly dominated by men.
Impact: Using the visual arts as a tool for positive societal change.
As an NGO, we recognize the unique challenges women face in balancing their artistic pursuits with motherly roles and other responsibilities.
Through mentorship programs and initiatives, we aim to provide female artists with the support and resources they need to thrive in the art world. We believe that every artist deserves the opportunity to express themselves and share their voice with the world through their artworks and articles.
We strive to showcase the diversity and talent of female artists, highlighting their contributions to the art world and beyond.
This is possible;
when guidance and support to female artists in developing their skills and careers is provided, by fostering a community that encourages women to take ownership of their artistic expression and entrepreneurial endeavors
by celebrating the achievements and contributions of female artists, promoting their work and voices through various platforms and initiatives
When the voices of female artists are amplified, a more inclusive and equitable art world will created, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
“I am passionate about the empowerment of female artists; to become entrepreneurs and the best versions of themselves. As an advocate for female artists’ recognition, I am committed to creating a space where women’s voices are heard and celebrated.”
